C-115: Essentials of On-Scene Crash Investigation

May 23 - 25, 2017

Mercyhurst University. 0800-1700 hours. This is an introductory level training course designed to provide law enforcement officers who are assigned the duty of accident investigation with the ability to properly interpret and understand the physical evidence, document the evidence, and properly report the details of the collision.


The course curriculum will include: classification of traffic collisions, phycial evidence from the roadway, measuring and diagramming the collision scene, and properly reporting the evidence and details of the collision.


Cost is $395CEUs are assigned. Required course for the certificate program.

C-120: Advanced and Technical Analysis Investigation

May 15 - 26, 2017

State College Police Department. 0800-1700 hours. The second of three core traffic collision investigation courses, Advanced and Technical Analysis is designed for the experienced police officer, supervisor, or traffic homicide investigator who has some collision investigation training. This course will further expand collision investigation skills like evidence gathering, measuring, scale diagramming, and skid mark interpretation. Applicants for this course must have sucessfully completed the On-Scene/Homicide by Vehicle Collision Invesgation training course or equivalent training from a recognized training institution. 


Cost is $895. Prequisite is On-Scene Collision Investigation and Homicide by Motor Vehicle. CEUs are assigned. Required course for the Certificate Program.
